Login FAQ
Is my Instagram account and password safe when I log in?
Absolutely. The Instagram login page is provided by Instagram and opens within Grid Preview. Grid Preview will never ask you to enter your Instagram password or verification code anywhere outside this page.
I logged in, but the page stays on my Instagram feed and Grid Preview still shows that I’m logged out. What should I do?
This usually means that the redirect after login was not completed successfully.
Close the login page and start the login process again. After logging in, wait for the page to return to Grid Preview automatically. Do not close it early.
If the issue keeps occurring, try the following:
- Update Grid Preview to the latest version.
- Temporarily disable any VPN, proxy, or content blocker.
- Switch to a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.
- Log in through the official Instagram app or website first and complete any security verification that may appear. Then return to Grid Preview and try again.
What should I do if I see “Error code: HTTP 429”?
HTTP 429 means that too many requests were made within a short period of time. Instagram may have temporarily restricted access from your account, device, or network.
Stop trying repeatedly and wait a while before logging in again. We recommend using a stable network and temporarily disabling any VPN or proxy. Avoid frequently switching VPN servers or submitting repeated login requests.
Instagram determines when the restriction is lifted. Grid Preview cannot remove it directly.
Why is the login page blank?
This is usually related to your network connection, VPN, proxy, content blocker, or the current status of Instagram’s services.
Try the following:
- Make sure the official Instagram app or website opens normally.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- Temporarily disable any VPN, proxy, or content blocker.
- Close and reopen the login page.
- Update Grid Preview and your operating system to the latest versions.
If the official Instagram page also fails to load, please try again later.
My Instagram account doesn’t have a password. What should I do?
If you normally use Facebook, one-tap login, or saved login information, you may not have set a separate Instagram password, or you may have forgotten it.
You can try creating or changing your password:
- Open Instagram and go to your profile.
- Tap the menu icon—the three horizontal lines—in the upper-right corner.
- Go to Accounts Center → Password and security → Change password.
- Select the Instagram account you want to log in to.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create or change your password.
If you are asked to enter your current password but do not remember it, tap Forgot password? on the Instagram login page. You can then reset it using your username, email address, or phone number. See Instagram’s password recovery instructions for more information.
Menu names may vary depending on your Instagram version and system language.
Instagram is asking for a verification code or identity verification. What should I do?
Follow the instructions on the Instagram page to complete the verification process. Depending on your account settings, the verification code may be sent by SMS or WhatsApp, generated by an authenticator app, or obtained from your backup codes.
Grid Preview cannot access your verification codes or bypass Instagram’s security verification. Never send your password, verification codes, or backup codes to anyone by email.
